You won’t find The Algonquin. There is no sign, no marked door, no indication that anything exists here at all. The location is a secret. Swipe a card in the right place and a wall opens into something you weren’t expecting.
What’s inside was built from a dismantled old Thai house — ironwood columns, original windows, broad-plank teak floors — reassembled into a space that feels like a friend’s living room, if your friend had exceptional taste and a well-stocked bar with a wine room. Everything was designed and made locally, blending art deco warmth with Northern Thai character.
The seasoned bar staff have created signature cocktails worth traveling for, with Bangkok craft beers on tap and over thirty wines. The kitchen is the best-kept secret — a full dinner menu and incredible small plates that most people don’t expect. Plan to eat. You’ll be glad you did.
This is a no-phones, no-photos club. Not because it’s precious about itself, but because the best evenings happen when everyone is actually present, not posting a picture of their soup on tik-tok. The dress code is simple: no flip-flops, no shorts, no t-shirts. Think smart casual — you’re going somewhere really special.
“Private members’ club” sounds more formal than it is. The Algonquin has two hundred members from everywhere and every walk of life, held together by one thing: they’d rather have a good conversation than scroll through their phones. If that sounds like you, you’re welcome here.

The Night Out — The Algonquin is the centerpiece of our flagship hidden bar crawl. Three bars, one drink at each, a local host. Entry included. ฿1,800 ($55) per person.
The Round Table — Eight strangers, four courses, one round table. A dinner for people who believe in the art of conversation. Weekends, ฿1,800 ($55) per person including a drink.
One-time access — Visit The Algonquin on your own. ฿500 ($15) per person, reservation required. Drinks and dinner à la carte. Proper dress required, no phones.
