You will walk past Gladwell. Everyone does. From the street it’s a brightly lit commercial building entrance next to a bank, with a single oversized white sliding door plastered with rock band stickers. Nothing about it says cocktail bar. That bright entrance lighting feels deliberate — a setup for what happens next.
Step through the sliding door and your eyes adjust. Only the small bar area is lit. Six barstools. Barely room for two bartenders behind the counter. The back wall is draped in purple velvet with three small tables tucked against it. The walls are painted black, covered in concert posters and more stickers — a seemingly careless, rock-and-roll aesthetic that contrasts sharply with what’s happening in the glasses.
Because the cocktails here are serious. Bangkok-level serious. Expect to pay ฿450 and up, which might raise an eyebrow until the first sip explains everything. The bartenders work with local ingredients — wild honey, rice spirits, pandan, sticky rice syrup, candle-smoked coconut milk — and the results are creative without being gimmicky.
