179/1 Floor 2, Phrapokklao Road, Si Phum (near the North Gate)
Follow the rabbit. That’s the only instruction you get.
Down a short alley off Phrapokklao Road near the North Gate, up a couple of flights of creaky stairs in what looks like an abandoned building, past a trippy room with a creepy doll — and then you’re in. A sleek, dark space built around a black marble bar, small and low-lit, with DJ-spun early 2000s pop and hip-hop creating a soundtrack that nobody expected but everybody loves.
The cocktails use local ingredients with real conviction: lanna spirit made from jasmine rice, black sticky rice, lychee, makwaen — a lemony, milder cousin of Sichuan peppercorn. The menu changes monthly. Hot towels arrive when you sit down. Free snacks keep coming.
The bartenders are the real attraction — polished, knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive. Tell them what flavours you like and let them work. The Sesame Sour is a signature for a reason, but the off-menu creations are where the magic happens.
Reservations are recommended. Check with us before visiting to confirm current booking requirements.
What to order: The Sesame Sour, or ask for an off-menu creation based on your mood.
Best for: The full speakeasy experience. The entrance alone is worth the visit.
