The Place
The Algonquin was created for discerning people who treasure the art of conversation.
Inside, you'll find an intimate private club inspired by the spirit of the Algonquin Round Table of 1920s New York — a place where writers, thinkers, artists, and interesting people gathered not to perform, but to converse.
Just a room, a drink, a meal, and the sort of conversation that becomes difficult to find in public places.
Your Access
Your one-time guest pass gives you access to the private areas of the club for the evening, including:
A quiet analog room for reading, talking, and disappearing from the noise outside.
House cocktails, classic drinks, cold beer, and a bar that does not need to announce itself to be remembered.
A full lunch and dinner menu, plus bar bites. Come hungry. It would be a mistake not to eat.
A carefully chosen wine selection for those who prefer their evenings to unfold slowly.
Cigarettes and cigars are welcome in the smoking area. Cigars are available from the club humidor.
Decorum
The Algonquin is a members club, not a usual bar or restaurant. And that's the point.
To protect the atmosphere of the club, all guests agree to the following:
The Algonquin is an analog space. The evening belongs to the people in the room.
No flip-flops. No t-shirts. Long pants are preferred.
Guest passes are issued by reservation only.
The club is private, intimate, and intentionally not for everyone.

The Algonquin is hidden in a secret location inside Chiang Mai's old town. The meet location is shared after your reservation is confirmed.
Yes. You can add the number of people joining you when you reserve. Please note the maximum is eight people.
No. There is no prepayment. Your guest pass (THB ฿500 per person) is settled with your evening's bill.
No. The Algonquin is a no-phones and no-photos club. This is part of what protects the experience. You can bring it with you, but we ask that you put it away in our cabinet.
Yes. The kitchen serves a full dinner menu along with bar bites. Guests are encouraged to dine.
